Sacchetti Sterling Silver 925 Guitar Figurine with Enamel & Music Stand, Italy

An Italian sterling guitar in the round, finished front and back in swirled cream enamel, and paired with its own sterling music stand cut as a treble clef. Two pieces, both hallmarked, sold together.

The detail is where the money went. The rosette around the soundhole is chased with a repeating geometric pattern. Six separate strings run from a fretted neck down to a bridge with individual saddles. The headstock is pierced and openworked, the tuners rendered as tiny scrolls. The stand is a separate casting with a hinged easel leg, its upright cut as a treble clef.

Marks

Both pieces carry 925 and ITALY. The guitar additionally carries the maker's cartouche on its enamelled reverse.

Condition

The front enamel is clean and the cream swirl fully intact. The reverse of the body and the headstock show dark speckling and a few small losses in the enamel, consistent with age and handling. All six strings present and taut. The stand is straight with a working hinge. No repairs, no bends, no solder work.
